Beneath a Scarlet Sky by Mark T. Sullivan
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I am a huge fan of WW 2 fiction and I really wanted to love this book. Unfortunately, I just couldn’t connect with the 18 year old protagonist, Pino Lella. The writing was bland and his romance with Anna and her fate seemed contrived. Regardless, it was a solid story and I learned a bit of the history of Italy during the war.
